Pamela G. Parnell, D.V.M., Ph.D.
Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Pathologists

Dr. Parnell is a South Carolina native, originally from Sumter. She received her undergraduate education at Wofford College, and in 1987 graduated from the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a three-year residency in anatomic veterinary pathology and served as an Instructor in the UGA CVM Department of Pathology for two years while finishing her doctoral research in epithelial growth factors. From 1987 through 2000, Dr. Parnell also provided part-time relief services for veterinary practitioners in North Georgia and Columbia, and continues to maintain active practice licenses in both Georgia and South Carolina. In 1993, she accepted a position as a staff pathologist at the Clemson Veterinary Diagnostic Center, and successfully completed the certification examination of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 1995. In addition to providing pathology services, she served as Director of the CVDC from 2001 through 2006. She has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals of veterinary and medical science and has been an invited speaker at veterinary conferences and scientific meetings. In 2007 she left public service to open PVPS in partnership with PPS and PetFriends.

Erin Trefsgar
Client Services

Erin, also a native South Carolinian, has worked in the veterinary field for over 17 years. She brings her experience in veterinary practice to the client services section of PPS and is the primary point of contact at PVPS for veterinarians and clinic staff. Erin is available to answer general questions regarding services and fees, the status of cases, and to request supplies and forms, and additional copies of reports.
Ann Douglas
Client Services

Ann hails originally from North Carolina, but now considers South Carolina her permanent home. She has worked in the medical profession her entire life. Ann directs all aspects of courier and distribution services for PPS and PVPS, coordinating regular stops on routes throughout the midlands and serving as the point of contact for call-in and special pickups for veterinary clients.
